STEM Donations Needed
We would like to thank the families who have donated items to our STEM Lab! We have received several donations and are very grateful for your support! Mrs. Summerlin has already begun planning fun and engaging lessons that use the donated items.
Our most pressing need right now is a folding table that is lightweight and can be easily taken outside to use for outdoor activities. An alternative to buying a table from the Amazon Wish List, is to provide Lowes gift cards in any amount. There are lots of things Mrs. Summerlin uses throughout the year that can be purchased from Lowes.
Again, we appreciate your support and donations as they allow us to plan meaningful learning opportunities for our students!

Attention Car Riders!
Attention Families of East Students in Grades K-4 -
If you are planning for your child to be an afternoon car rider during the 2020-2021 school year, we ask that you complete the following form to request a personalized car tag. Each family will receive TWO copies of the car tag(s) requested. They will be sent home with your child on the first day of school OR within two school days of your request being placed. Car tags can be requested at any time during the year using this form.
Due to COVID-19 and social distancing guidelines, we are unable to gather all of our car riders in the cafeteria each afternoon. As a result, students will be transitioning to the car rider loading area from their homeroom classrooms. To expedite the dismissal process, all parents / guardians should prominently display the car tags on the passenger side of the vehicle (windshield or window) for East staff members to easily read.
Thank you!

School Supplies for 20/21
Regardless of whether your child returns to East in August, or participates in instruction virtually, they will need supplies to be successful! You may view the 2020-2021 East Albemarle Student Supply list by clicking the link below.
Due to social distancing guidelines in response to COVID-19, students will NOT be allowed to share school supplies in the classroom. It is very important that they have their own supplies. If you have questions about any of the items listed, or concerns, you may reach out to Dr. Johnson or Mrs. Wherritt via phone, Dojo, or email.
Stanly County Schools will partner with families and communities to support students in achieving career and college readiness through innovative instruction to inspire life-long learners and engaged citizens.
